Psalm 111:1
Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
Missions and Care
Local and Community Missions
Our Congregation actively supports local mission work via financial resources and personal involvement in these local works: The Soup Kitchen, Sharing and Caring, Victory Home, and Camp Hawkins of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. We also continue to support the work of the Habersham Baptist Association as part of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Finally, Dr. Jerome Smith’s International Mission also receives financial and prayer support from the congregation.
The WMU and Brotherhood groups actively participate in local missions by taking an active role in community work projects. We also minister to our local school system’s Alternative School on a monthly basis.
Last but certainly not least, Clarkesville Baptist’s congregation goes on an in-state or out-of-state Mission Trip every year. We carried 25 youth and adults to a second year of mission work in Boone, North Carolina this past June.
